Overview:
Materials Management Sr. Spec - Tampa,FL - 5
  • Focus on supporting the materials management team with analytics of metrics, cultural evolution, standardization of processes and adoption of efficient processes within the areas we manage.
  • Collaborate with the lean supply supervisors to drive process improvement and implementation of lean supply management principles within the organization including continuous front line employee training, continuous improvement for the materials organization, and support all new site activity.
Responsibilities:
  • Compile monthly productivity metrics, digging into the data to find root cause and drive continues improvement within the materials organization.
  • Provide training and end-user support on the use of materials management software and provide technical assistance as needed including new hire training.
  • Assist the materials staff in troubleshooting system problems and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Collaborate with lean supply supervisors to conduct and participate in continues improvement activities, implement new processes and system enhancements. Assist in the standardization of processes in receiving, shipping, warehousing and materials management operations.
  • Assist and support the lean supply supervisors with new site start up and platform changes.
  • Support lean supply supervisors with any gaps in staffing.
  • Comply with all applicable and current materials and services management, human resources, employee health & safety, compliance, OSHA, CLIA, polices and procedures.
  • Flexible to travel on short notice to support the materials management team at any of the SE locations to lead resolution of any gaps identified in the organization and provide support and training.
  • Perform other duties as required by your manager.
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Work Experience:
Three or more years of materials management, analytical or inventory experience.
Preferred Work Experience:
Three or more years of materials management, analytical or inventory experience.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
At times this role may require lifting to 50 lbs., time in walk-in refrigerator/freezers when supporting front line initiatives. Be able to travel on short notice. Work in any materials environment, hospital, and core labs which may require standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
Knowledge:
Working knowledge of PeopleSoft, a plus.
Skills:
Solid knowledge of Excel, strong problem-solving and analytical skills
