- Receive verbal or written general instructions from supervisors and relay information, priorities, and work assignments to other members of the group in order to satisfactorily complete the assignment.
- Report back to supervisor with progress of work process and any problems encountered.
- Read work orders, and/or follow oral instructions, to determine materials or containers to be moved.
- Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, conveyors, and shelves, by hand or through use of material handling equipment (MHE)
- Load materials into vehicles and install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit in accordance with established procedures.
- Secure lifting attachments to materials and convey load to destination.
- Count, weigh, and record number of units of materials moved or handled in accordance with established procedures.
- Attach identifying tags or labels to materials or mark information on cases, or other containers as directed.
- Stack or assemble materials into bundles and band bundles together.
- Lift heavy objects by hand or with power hoist.
- Clean work area, machines, and equipment to assist machine operators.
- Possess an active Top Secret Clearance.
