MPS Group, Inc. has multiple openings for Material Handler at SMP Automotive Systems located in Cottondale, Alabama
$500.00 Signing Bonus after 90 days
Summary: Safe and efficient removal and handling of industrial material and/or waste in a manufacturing environment using a forklift.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Fork truck operations including daily inspections and safe operations as trained and certified.
- Assist with the documentation required for container inspections and waste pickup.
- Perform inspections of waste storage areas and emergency equipment taking corrective action to eliminate deficiencies identified during the inspection.
- Adhere to and comply with the site-specific health and safety plan, host facility policies and applicable government health, safety and environmental regulations.
- Use all assigned PPE and comply with task instruction sheets.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- 1-year experience working in a manufacturing environment and previous forklift certification preferred
- Ability to satisfy drug free workplace requirements.
