OVERVIEW

The Material Handler is responsible for loading, unloading, and moving materials within or near the plant, yard, or work site.

DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for following work orders and/or verbal instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
• Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand and using tow motor.
• Records daily material handling metrics
• Maintains the inventory of packing materials and finished paper
• May assist with shipping or received as needed.
• All other duties as assigned

WORK EXPERIENCES

• 1-2 years in an industrial manufacturing environment required
• Prior forklift or tow motor experience preferred. The ability to be certified is required.
• Proven ability to successfully meet customer and management deadlines.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); equivalent experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
