Material Handler - 2nd shift Job at Faxon Machining
Material Handler - 2nd Shift - 5:00 pm - 3:30 am
PURPOSE: This position is responsible for receiving, storing and distributing material, tools, equipment and products within all facilities.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Handle all material in a safe manner and to insure no damage to material
- Load and unload material from various types of equipment
- Complete all related paperwork including receiving log
- Prepare all products for shipment, load products, and complete paperwork
- Organize and maintain warehouse and record all material locations as required
- Expedite material handling for production needs
- Collecting, storing and recycling of chips
- Distribute machine coolant and oil to production personnel
- Follow all company administrative procedures
- Maintain acceptable housekeeping in designated areas
- Daily fork lift inspections
- Carry out all other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent or 6 months experience in a similar position
- The ability to read, understand, and verify all shipping and receiving paperwork, in-put information in the computer system, use a computer and barcode scanner
- licensed to operate an industrial powered lift truck
- Verify inventory quantities
- Follow tagging system
