As a Barclays Markets Technology Risk & Control Lead, this is an exciting opportunity for you to join an organization as a founding member, as it is built from the ground up. For this role, your responsibilities include managing the delivery of issues management across Markets & Research Technology and providing efficient and effective daily support to the Risk & Control team lead. We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. What will you be doing?

• Serving as Subject Matter Expert for creating and managing ORAC (Operational Risk & Control) risks including assisting in the creation and submission of ACPs and ICPs
• Ensuring risk and control culture is maintained through developing and managing relationships within Technology and externally
• Managing the updates of all ORAC actions/issues
• Communicating effectively, liaising and collaborating with multiple stakeholders to ensure clear reporting on Issues of interest to management
• Contributing to the establishment of a community of Control Leads & Electronic Trading Standards Owners for each leadership team across Markets & Research Technology
• Ensuring that representatives from each team have a clear governance and gatekeeping process set up within their teams that is appropriate for their team and stakeholders
• Establishing and maintaining progress reports for the organization, ensuring community of Control Leads & Electronic Trading Standards owners keep their teams on track
• Acting as a trusted advisor for the TC2 risk & control agenda

What we’re looking for:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and stakeholder management skills
• Proven ability to influence and manage across multiple teams and regions to deliver solutions to complex problems
• Ability to apply order and process, yet flexible to adapt as needed for continuous improvement
• Significant experience in using communication, process, and transparency to balance regulatory and control partner demands with competing business and technical priorities
