To continue operating at our high standards, we’re seeking Manufacturing Associates (Production) to join us as at Gleason-Avery, our recently acquired gearmotor manufacturer based in Auburn, NY.

In 2020, WorldWide Electric acquired the Louis Allis Company. Since its founding in 1901, Louis Allis has been producing specialty motors for unique and demanding applications. Industrial, military and municipal customers from around the world trust Louis Allis to provide specialty motors up to 20,000 hp.

In July 2021 WorldWide Electric acquired Georator and Athlon Corporations. Since its founding in 1950, Georator has been the leading supplier of permanent magnet generators and mechanical and solid-state frequency converters. Georator products are used in many military, research and industrial applications. In 2007 Georator started Athlon to supply high quality alternators to various mobile power generator applications.

In October 2021 WorldWide Electric acquired Gleason-Avery, a specialty OEM gearmotor manufacturer. Founded in 1933 by Mr. Gleason and Mr. Avery as a motor manufacturer. In the 1980’s the company developed a line of sub-fractional AC & DC gearmotors and has grown to be a leader in the sub-fractional gearmotors market.

Combining the wide-reaching sales, service and support of WorldWide Electric with the custom specialty motor capability of Louis Allis, the generator and frequency converter capability of Georator/Athlon and the gearmotors from Gleason-Avery creates a one-of-a-kind supplier dedicated to providing the best products and support in the industry. WorldWide Electric, Louis Allis, Georator, Athlon and Gleason-Avery can provide a full range of standard off-the-shelf products, modified standard products and full custom specialty products.

In addition to our headquarters in Rochester, we have manufacturing facilities in Warrior, Alabama and Auburn, NY, as well as home-based team members throughout the US. With six regional warehouses, a dedicated team of inside and outside sales and extensive technical and customer support resources, WorldWide Electric provides unparalleled service to its customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Hand assembly of various sub-assemblies and gear motors.
  • Visually inspect all work and rework as necessary
  • Follow all safety, quality and other company rules
  • Read and understand supporting documentation for the work area
  • Rotate to various jobs as needed
  • Perform other tasks as required.
  • Test finished sub-assemblies and final parts for quality as instructed
  • Maintain cleanliness of tools, equipment and work surroundings
  • Willing to comply with COVID mask mandates when needed
  • Follow quality guidelines as provided

  • Discern quality of parts and materials used in production
  • Follow company procedures and directives
  • Is reliable and works well with others.
  • Must have excellent attendance
