About The Team:

The Revenue Operations team is a strategically focused team responsible for the success and enablement of the sales team, aligning and optimizing sales and revenue processes in order to drive revenue growth. The team ensures alignment between sales, marketing, and customer success departments by fostering collaboration and communication across these functions. They work together to define shared goals and metrics, ensuring everyone is working towards a common objective. The Revenue Operations team is responsible for global revenue training and enablement, process and automation solutions, and performance and insights.

About The Role:

The Salesforce Optimization Manager plays a crucial role in maximizing the efficiency and effectiveness of the Salesforce platform within an organization. They are responsible for overseeing the configuration, customization, and continuous improvement of Salesforce to meet the specific needs of the sales, marketing, and customer service teams. The Salesforce Optimization Manager collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to drive user adoption, streamline processes, and leverage data insights for enhanced business outcomes.

Primary Objectives:

  • Salesforce Configuration and Customization: Lead the configuration and customization of the Salesforce platform, including defining data models, workflows, user roles, security settings, reports, and dashboards. Ensure that Salesforce aligns with business requirements and supports sales, marketing, and customer service processes effectively.
  • System Integration and Data Management: Collaborate with IT teams and third-party vendors to integrate Salesforce with other systems, such as marketing automation, ERP, or customer support platforms. Manage data quality, data governance, and data integrity within Salesforce, ensuring accurate and reliable information for reporting and decision-making.
  • User Adoption and Training: Develop and implement strategies to drive user adoption of Salesforce across the organization. Provide training and support to end-users, including sales representatives, marketing professionals, and customer service agents. Create user documentation, training materials, and conduct workshops to ensure users are proficient in utilizing Salesforce features.
  • Process Improvement and Workflow Optimization: Identify areas for process improvement and workflow optimization within Salesforce. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs, streamline processes, and implement best practices. Automate manual tasks and develop efficient workflows to increase productivity and user satisfaction.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Design and create reports, dashboards, and analytics within Salesforce to provide actionable insights to sales, marketing, and customer service teams. Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track and measure the effectiveness of sales processes, marketing campaigns, and customer service operations.
  • System Upgrades and Enhancements: Stay updated on Salesforce releases, new features, and industry best practices. Coordinate system upgrades and enhancements, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. Conduct thorough testing and validation of new functionality before deployment.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, customer service, and IT, to understand their needs, gather requirements, and ensure Salesforce meets their business objectives. Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams, facilitating effective communication and alignment.
  • Security and Compliance: Maintain data security and compliance standards within Salesforce, ensuring adherence to privacy regulations and organizational policies. Implement security controls, user permissions, and data access levels to protect sensitive information.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • The first phase of this role will be leading the integration of our major SFDC instances alongside consulting expertise
  • Lead the in-depth scoping of our Salesforce consolidation project to ensure company requirements are fully captured, including process and feature carry-overs, additions and exclusions.
  • Meet directly with business stakeholders, IT and technical consultants throughout the project to ensure the new Salesforce org is being designed to meet company needs.
  • Ensure the UX within the new Salesforce org is optimized to increase user efficiency.
  • Work closely with IT Enterprise Apps and Revenue Enablement to ensure a thorough QA of the build. Provide responsive and actionable feedback on changes / corrections / misses.
  • Work with Revenue Enablement to develop and deliver a launch plan for training users of the new org.
  • Identify areas for increased efficiencies as part of the project and measure the before / after impact of key metrics related to those processes.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Solid experience in Salesforce administration and configuration, preferably as a Salesforce Administrator or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of Salesforce functionality, features, and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of sales, marketing, and customer service processes and their alignment with Salesforce.
  • Proficiency in data management and data analysis within Salesforce.
  • Experience with system integrations, APIs, and data migration.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Salesforce certifications, such as Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce Advanced Administrator, or Salesforce Sales Cloud Consultant, are preferred.
  • Knowledge of security and compliance standards related to Salesforce.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

What will Make You Stand Out:

  • Experience on a SaaS Revenue Operations team
  • Previous experience leading a Salesforce org merge
  • Previous experience leading a new Salesforce org launch
  • Ability to clearly translate Business needs into Technical requirements as well as the ability to identify and communicate any business impact due to system limitations.

The Tech:

  • Strong experience with Salesforce.com (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud), including sales-supporting functionality such as Sales Engagement, Territory Management, Collaborative Forecasting and Pipeline Inspection.
  • Strong experience with ecosystem tools integrated with Salesforce (Gong, Salesloft, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Ambition, Zendesk)
  • Experience with BI tools such as Tableau and Looker.
