Job Summary:

This position is primarily responsible for leadership in promoting the philosophy of whole-person wellness among the members and staff of the Trinity Woods (TW) community. Responsibilities include developing and implementing an overall wellness strategy for TW that enhances the physical, social, emotional, spiritual, intellectual, and occupational well-being of TW community members and staff in collaboration with Life Enrichment and other Wellness team members.

Requirements:

  • Four-year college degree in Recreation, Recreation Therapy, Nursing, Sociology, or Psychology from an accredited college or university. May substitute relevant work experience in for education on a year-for-year basis.
  • Minimum of two years in a role related to wellness programming, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Administrative and budget management skills in a leadership position.
  • Experience in developing innovative and engaging programs and implementing continuing improvements to meet diverse constituent needs.
  • Possess high-quality communications skills including ability to be flexible in dealing with a diverse group of people – members, family members, prospective residents, staff, etc.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Proficient in the operation of computer applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Design systems for tracking and reporting on member participation in and benefits from wellness programs
  • Develops appropriate materials to inform and educate members about wellness programs and build lines of communication with members to incorporate their feedback into programs
  • Partner with COO to create policies and procedures to ensure safe, legal and effective operation of all wellness programs
  • Oversees fitness programs, including supervision of staff and compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Collaborate on annual budgets for the Wellness Department and manages the department within agreed upon budget parameters
  • Builds relationships with individuals and organizations in the surrounding community who can partner with TW in our wellness programs
  • Works with the Wellness Advisory Council to plan and implement wellness programming
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities for the Wellness Department in accordance with TW’s policies and applicable laws
  • Ensures appropriate training and credentialing of Wellness staff
  • All other duties as assigned
