STORE GENERAL MANAGER DESCRIPTION
Report to: District Manager
Job Summary: The Store general manager is responsible for day-to-day store operations, including scheduling, training, and supervising employees. The Store general manager is responsible for the store profits, and all controllable expenses including labor, inventory levels, and cash and inventory shortages.
List of Responsibilities:
- The ability to work part of a shift as your daily responsibility.
- Have the physical ability to perform all duties of a store cashier and deli.
- Recruit, hire, and train positive individuals to become team members.
- Properly complete and forward ALL new hire paperwork to the payroll department.
- Ensure and enforce great customer service.
- Motivate, encourage, and challenge store cashiers.
- Resolve customer complaints, in a timely and professional manner.
- Monitor cash over/short, inventory shrinkage, and drive offs daily.
- Conduct Store meetings as needed with employees.
- Understand all information in the daily reporting of store operations.
- Follow and enforce all Company Policies.
- Ensure all POS (point of sale) advertising/signage is properly posted at the proper time.
- Communicate any problems with merchandise pricing to the Price Book Administrator.
- Enforce all Safety and Security Issues and report all unsafe conditions.
- Report and process all employee and/or customer incidents or accidents.
- Conduct Store meetings as needed with employees.
- Do inventory ordering, deli ordering and make sure all is properly received.
- Follow-up to make sure all employees are following set expectations.
- Communicate any issues or deficiencies with employees immediately.
- In Store equipment operations:
- Clean and stock shelves
- Stock coolers
- Stock freezers
- Coffee & cappuccino bar clean cupboard, clean inside machines and brewer pots
- Deep clean all machines in kitchen.
- Keep garbage receptacles clean and emptied often.
- Clean the bathroom several times daily
- Clean underneath and behind coolers, open air coolers and freezers. Blow out vents, coils, and compressors.
- Change filters on furnace and AC.
- Clean inside cooler and freezer shelving and glass doors
- Make sure all maintenance issues or repair issues are communicated ASAP to get repaired or resolved.
- Outside pumps, building, and lot:
- Clean sidewalks of debris, water, garbage, cigarette butts, snow, and dirt
- Make sure window wash buckets are clean of sludge and fresh solution put in daily.
- Make sure all garbage cans are emptied 2x a day.
- Clean windows and doors
- Keep concrete clean around the pumps. If gas/fuel spills, put floor dry out and clean up after
- Wash down pumps and handles with cleaners to take off old gas dirt and diesel.
- Make sure all POS or pump issues are communicated and fixed ASAP.
- Car Wash and Vacuum
- Clean car wash stalls daily. More during busy times
- Trouble shoot issues on the back computer. Reboot kiosk, reset wash, door behavior, error codes.
- Empty vacuum cleaner bag
- Clean and wipe down the outside of the vacuum cleaner and sweep around the island.
- Empty money and send to bookkeeping for deposit.
- Make sure all car wash issues or needed repairs are communicated ASAP to be repaired or resolved
