The Food and Beverage Manager assists in the successful operation of the resort outlets. They ensure the achievement of established food and beverage quality. Also, has a focus on guest service quality standards, departmental revenue and profit goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages all food & beverage cost of goods and inventory discrepancies
  • Ensures budgetary goals are met
  • Assists in ordering and receiving orders of all types and assists director in setting goals, developing strategies, procedures and policies
  • Ensures schedules are completed in an appropriate time and manages overtime hours
  • Performs basic Human Resources functions; interviewing, hiring, coaching, etc.
  • Actively works with Leads and Certified Trainers to ensure all new hire training is being done correctly and effectively
  • Completes, at the end of every month, the counting and entering of all Food & Beverage inventories
  • This role requires the ability to move and lift up to 25 lbs. Standing, sitting or walking for extended periods of time and ensuring a professional appearance in a clean uniform are also required
  • Assume additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Food & Beverage

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience supervising food & service departments of 20+ employees
  • Proven excellence in customer service and experience to interact effectively with guests, all levels of management, associates, both inside and outside the organization
  • Self-motivated to accomplish goals, with a strong sense of responsibility
  • The ability to anticipate guest needs, multitask and direct quickly.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong passion for Teaching & Learning
  • Proficiency with general Microsoft Office applications.
  • Capable of using independent judgement/solid decision-making skill and ability

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift at 25 - 100 pounds
  • While performing the duties of the job, the employee may be required to walk or stand for long periods of time
  • While performing this job, employee will be exposed to sunlight, extreme temperatures, wet and/or humid conditions
  • Maintains a professional appearance appropriate to position and as per company policy
