The Manager, Employee Engagement and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging will have responsibility for developing strategies to improve engagement, and manage programs designed to foster it, such as employee recognition programs, wellness programs and other activities aimed at creating a positive workplace environment.

You will develop actionable insights into employees’ expectations, perceptions, and behaviors and understand that everyone navigates change differently. This role also includes a necessary element of project management, particularly in setting a project’s scope, team member roles and responsibilities, and ensuring deliverables remain on track. You will also need to be experienced with working across the organization.

  • Assist with HR/Talent leadership and ensure that our engagement strategy is closely aligned with business, people, and inclusion goals.
  • Manage DEIB strategic plan and ensure metrics and deliverables are met.
  • Oversee new employee orientation, onboarding and retention.
  • Oversee employee offboarding process.
  • Consult with leaders to translate their business goals into desired employee outcomes
  • Maintain a holistic perspective to connect dots between programs, activities, and communications in ways that support a cohesive employee experience and help shape the culture.
  • Design and propose recognition and retention initiatives and partner with leaders to evaluate and determine needs and progress.
  • Research, recommend and usher innovative initiatives.
  • Manage best place to work applications and processes.
  • Manage and facilitate change management models and processes.
  • Work across the human resources and learning and development departments to facilitate and implement tools, projects and strategies.
  • Align learning objectives with the development review process to equip talent for peak performance in their responsibilities.
  • Coordinate the tracking and approval of professional development requests.
  • Coordinate with HR and Learning and Development leadership on effective internal communication of critical information to employees.
  • Lead ERG initiatives and committees.
  • People-focused leader centering the experiences and growth of staff.
  • Contribute to the implementation of the annual performance management system.
  • Support interpersonal development of staff.
  • Recommend and contribute to employee recognition and retention strategies.
  • Manage the knowledge transfer and cross-boarding process.
  • Build and sustain external diversity relationships.
  • Conduct employee engagement surveys and provide recommendations.
  • Prepare data analytics reports.
  • Manage employer brand on social media platforms.
  • Own accountability for overall project completion and on-time delivery of communication plans and projects.

Who we’re looking for:

  • 7+ years of related experience preferred.
  • Bachelors and/or master’s degree in Human Resources Management, Organization Development or Business with a focus on leadership.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Effective problem solver with an ability to effectively diagnose problems quickly, navigate complexity under pressure.
  • Experience with change management models and processes.
  • Very strong written and communication skills.
  • Experience creating strategies that incorporate equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging practices into organizational initiatives.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – Builds, develops and sustains trust and relationships.
  • Great communicator – comfortable having difficult conversations and influence with high emotional intelligence.
  • Demonstrate a growth mindset with a willingness to challenge, ask questions and continually improve deliverables, outcomes, and results.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
  • Experience working with a 1,000+ employee, multi-office organization preferred.
  • Experience developing and reporting data analytics.
  • Experience with technology, HRIS or talent management systems a plus.

  • Skilled facilitator and presenter that engages groups of 10-100+ while explaining complex new ideas.
  • Experience developing, delivering, and assessing learning programs.
