The Manager of Diamond Supply & Logistics, oversees the supply of both Melee and Serialized diamonds within Diamond Division and all inbound and outbound logistic operations. This position ensures that package receipts, inventory management, onward supply of diamonds and outgoing shipments take place with accuracy and efficiency. This role also supports and develops department staff and builds a culture that represents extraordinary customer service to our internal and external customers.

Key Accountabilities

Reporting, Analysis & Process Improvements

  • Understand transaction implications for department tasks, perform data reconciliations and review data when necessary to identify trends, review workflow and provide updates on department progress.
  • Build a culture of continuous improvement through the identification and implementation of process improvements. Identify opportunities to increase employee engagement and execute TiPS initiatives.
  • Partner with Finance to monitor TGL budget, identify discrepancies where applicable and communicate planned expenses vs. actuals to Management regularly.
  • Identify opportunities for process and task automation. Partner with Sr. Engineer to source technology to build long-term, sustainable processes to support increases in demand, an increase department output, and shorten lead-times.

Staff Management

  • Manage and develop staff through Performance Management Process, recognizing potential development and professional goals.
  • Maintain a departmental structure appropriate for the changing activities of Diamond Division.
  • Establish, monitor, and evolve metrics to monitor employee performance. Maintain records for employee development, performance, and cross-training activities.

Productivity

  • Manage the receipt, processing, inventory, and supply of diamonds ensuring efficiency of processes and accuracy of transactions.
  • Partner with Laurelton labs to develop and implement process efficiencies, furthermore, enhancing process effectiveness
  • Establish, monitor, and evolve department metrics to support business goals & initiatives.

Inventory Accuracy

  • Manage the accuracy of inventory through the evolution and implementation of cycle count programs.
  • Oversee and execute inventory adjustment transactions as required to maintain inventory accuracy and meet demand requirements.

Communication & Compliance Management

  • Actively demonstrate leadership by maintaining ongoing communication with all leaders and employees surrounding department goals; remove barriers where applicable.
  • Represent the department in dealing with other groups both within the company, and externally.
  • Ensure compliance for Sarbanes-Oxley reporting, CODC, and Audit Requirements.
  • Assess risk within processes and identify opportunities for increased controls where necessary.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years managerial experience preferably in supply chain, manufacturing or distribution environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to analyze data and processes as well as use problem solving methods to identify root causes and find best solutions
  • Strong attention to detail, critical thinking skills and ability to manage multiple projects at once within a fast-paced environment
  • Previous change management experience to include driving, influencing and inspiring change through communication at all levels. Prior experience developing talent and creating a team-oriented climate
  • Ability to translate company and department goals into workable actions plans for staff associates
  • Self-motivated individual with prior experience seeking development both within and outside an organization

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree
  • Experience in a lean environment, implementing and practicing lean concepts
  • Experience using J.D Edwards, Alteryx or DAS Reporting
  • Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley requirements and prior experience with compliance

The hiring range for this position ranges from $94,520.00 - $133,440.00. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidates’ relevant skills and experience. Management is also eligible for bonus.
