Mammography Technologist

Founded in 1982, Rio Grande Regional Hospital (RGRH), an HCA-affiliated facility, is proud of maintaining its status as one of the leading healthcare providers in the Rio Grande Valley. For nearly 30 years, we have remained focused and committed to providing quality healthcare to all members of our community.

With 320 beds and a team of more than 500 physicians representing over 35 specialties, we offer a range of inpatient and outpatient services.

What you will do in this role:

1. Performs one, or a combination of, exams at the highest technical quality producing mammograms/images for diagnosis.

2. Identify/assess patients in relation to the imaging study ordered.

3. Follow radiation safety standards for self, patient and staff

4. Use documentation systems to ensure the continuum of care:

• Meditech
• Medical record
• Mammogram software

Qualifications

Education:

• Graduate of AMA approved school of radiology

• Completed advance training in mammography

What qualifications you will need:

• ARRT (CT); Texas Medical Board licensure required.

• American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification required.
