Title: Engineering/Maintenance - Material Handling Maintenance Technician I

Location: West Union, SC

Duration: Contract 6+ months- Potential to Permanent

Shift: M-F - 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Job Summary

• Handling general work orders to include paint and patch work, moving furniture, changing light bulbs.
• Daily checklist for day-to-day tasks.
• Making sure air conditioners and chillers are functioning.
• Will inspect dock doors.
• Main focus is cooling towers, chillers, air compressors (changing pumps), and light HVAC (changing filters).
• Carpentry, general maintenance experience also needed.
• Locks, doors, fire extinguishers.
• Training will be provided, but the manger would prefer candidates who have a little bit of knowledge coming in.
• Will need basic computer skill to be able to complete work orders in the system and enter time.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Able to work all days and shifts, including overtime (24 hours a day, 7 days a week operation, including holidays)
• Previous experience in basic preventive/predictive maintenance & troubleshooting skills and repair methods.
• Previous experience or classwork in Mechanical and/or Electrical basic components
• Previous experience with compressors and pneumatics

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience or classwork in Dematic, Vanderlande and/or Intelligrated Systems
• Understands safe use of power tools to include saws and drills.
• PC competency, Word & Excel, and Windows OS
• Previous experience with basic metal and wood fabrication.
• May include saws and drills.
• Basic understanding of a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Important Points:

• Must be reliable.
• Must be willing to be on call at least once every 3 weeks.
• Must be comfortable with exposure to lead.
• The contractor will be issued a laptop.

• Maintenance: 3 years (Preferred)
