The Arc of Cumberland & Perry Counties (CPARC) is a human services agency that is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to work out of the Center for Industrial Training (CIT) facility in Mechanicsburg. CIT is a community-based program whose primary mission is to serve the needs of individuals with vocational challenges. CIT provides lucrative training and employment opportunities to individuals with disabilities.


This staff member performs necessary maintenance on the Association's owned or lease, property, and equipment, and supervises the Maintenance Worker.

Specific Duties include:

  • Ensures proper maintenance of buildings, grounds, vehicles, and equipment owned/leased by the Association; establishes and executes written Preventative Maintenance Program
  • Responsible for supervising Maintenance Worker including hiring, training, orientation, performance evaluations, and all other related supervisory duties.
  • Orders/purchases required maintenance materials, assuring the best prices are obtained and the quality of the materials is acceptable.
  • Maintains an inventory of equipment and maintenance materials on hand.
  • Completes repairs on CPARC/PCIT property. These repairs include plumbing, electrical, painting, mechanical, and carpentry repairs.
  • Job related driving is required in this position
  • Supervises maintenance of van(s)
  • Ensures that safety procedures are observed, conducts safety training, and develops safety techniques. Serves on the Health and Safety Committee.

Full-time, Monday through Friday position in Mechanicsburg at $16.65

Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid PA driver's license, and a high school diploma, or its equivalent. Must be physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 80 pounds, climbing ladders, and operating hand and power tools. Must have semi-skilled working knowledge in plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs. Must have three (3) to five (5) years experience doing such repairs.
