Are you mechanically inclined and live and breathe anything to do with maintenance? Do you also enjoy supervising maintenance people in a highly technical manufacturing environment? Madison-Kipp is looking for an experienced Manufacturing Maintenance Supervisor to join our Madison-Kipp Team at our Madison facilities.

POSITION SUMMARY
This person will supervise the Maintenance department at the Madison-Kipp Madison facilities. Under minimal supervision perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the facilities’ business goals and objectives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Supervise skilled tradespeople and machine maintenance crews. This includes selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Provide training opportunities to staff.
  • Coordinate procurement of maintenance materials, capital equipment and services.
  • Meet maintenance financial standards by providing annual budget information; monitoring expenditures; identifying variances; and implementing corrective actions.
  • Maintain function and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by implementing a preventive maintenance program; operating and testing systems and equipment; restoring, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing faulty or inoperative components and parts.
  • Improve function and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by studying performance results; identifying, recommending, and implementing changes, expansions, and additions.
  • Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal codes and regulations.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reviewing technical publications.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Two-year maintenance/supervisory degree preferred.
  • Ten years of manufacturing maintenance experience including five years of supervision.
  • Technical leadership and knowledge.
  • Strong manufacturing maintenance skills, including diagnostics, troubleshooting, programming and repair of Hydraulic systems, Pneumatic systems, Electrical systems and strong working knowledge of programmable logic controllers.
  • Valid computer skills.
  • Robust communication skills.
