RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in mechanical or electrical systems (e.g., HVAC, plumbing) and other equipment throughout the hotel.

• Perform preventative maintenance assignments on a scheduled basis.

• Maintain the building exterior and "curb appeal" (e.g., snow removal, lawn care, painting, and gardening).

• Respond in a courteous manner to all guest questions, complaints, and or requests to ensure strong guest satisfaction.

• Perform other duties as requested by ownership and management.

SKILLS/GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to recognize potential safety hazards and security problems in the hotel and act upon each accordingly.

• Be skilled in several areas such as HVAC, electrical, carpentry, dry wall, painting, plumbing, roofing, and landscaping.

• Must be able to troubleshoot and repair routine mechanical and electrical malfunctions in hotel systems and equipment

• Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of Colleagues in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.

• Approach all encounters with guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner

. • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Hotel Standards and department schedule, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.

• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming.

• Must be proactive in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving issues as necessary.

• Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.

QUALIFICATIONS STANDARDS:

• 1+ years of Hotel experience preferred

• General knowledge of building maintenance and systems

• Must be flexible to work all shifts including overnights, weekends and holidays

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
