Maintenance Assistant Job at YMCA of Columbia Willamette
In this role, you will set the stage for the day at the Sherwood YMCA. During your work day, you will keep the facility and equipment in good working condition. Your creative problem-solving, ability to work independently, and desire to support your team will help bring you success in this position.

Requirements:Job Responsibilities:
- Daily, prepare the facility to be safe and welcoming for members and co-workers.
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs including plumbing, equipment, painting and drywall.
- Work with outside contractors to complete major repairs or renovations.
- Work hours: Monday-Friday 5:30am-9:00am, with occasional additional requirements for project oversight.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Knowledgeable with tools and equipment; ability to perform manual labor and climb ladders
- Must pass YMCA background check
- Ability to drive to multiple YMCA locations
- Able to effectively communicate with supervisor and co-workers
- Experience with mechanical, structural, or electrical engineering a plus
