PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

· Plans and performs a wide range of diversified duties involving installation, assembly, repair, and general maintenance of equipment, machines, building, grounds, and facilities.

· Disassembles damaged mechanisms to determine extent of troubles and repair/replace defective parts and reassemble.

· Creates and interprets electrical schematics.

· Performs ordinary hand operations in the fitting and mating of component parts and construct as necessary to meet the specific job requirements.

· Troubleshoots and repairs high priority production equipment on the plant floor.

· Installs new equipment and/or rearrange production areas, where precision leveling and aligning are required.

· Operates shop equipment in a safe and reasonable manner.

· Performs non-production welding, brazing, and soldering as necessary to meet repair, assembly, and fabrication requirements.

· Detects faulty operation and/or defective material and refer these and other questionable cases to supervisor(s).

· Maintains work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follow standard safety practices and regulations.

· Specifies and requests repair parts and supplies for each job.

· Trains or share knowledge with other employees as required.

· Works with minimum supervision.

· Other miscellaneous duties as required/assigned.

Requirements:

· Must have an understanding of electrical, PLC, pneumatic, hydraulic systems and how to troubleshoot and repair them.

· Must have knowledge in industrial electric power (600V), machine repair, facilities maintenance and forklift repair.

· Must be able to read and understand blueprints, electrical schematics and other technical documents as required

· Must successfully complete Certified Hazardous Waste Manifests (RCRA), forklift, hoist/crane and other training as required.

· Must have computer skills sufficient to use and understand CNC operating software

· Ability to read and understand English
