Project Description: Support Mission Analysis Cycle (MAC) Working Group via Power analyses for Nova-C series of lunar missions as well as customer data deliveries.
Using IM mission design and analysis tools, provide Power subsystem analyses for IM 1/2/3 missions.
Also create data deliveries for internal customers, synced to each MAC. Python scripting on the level of modifying configuration data for solar panel or other power system changes and formatting outputs to customer needs in forms of spreadsheets and plotting are expected. Refactoring the code for more efficient updates may also be part of the work.
Skilled using linear math algebra.
Presenting findings via clear graphs and plots to the MAC WG for every lunar mission’s MAC is required.
The final project would be a tutorial presentation on the process for power analysis as well as lessons learned.
Computer/Software Skills: Python, VSCode, Hyper-V, Linux, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Bash, Slack, Webex.
Scientific and Technical Skills: Undergrad level EE, Physics, Aerospace, and/or ME concepts would stand candidate in good stead. Equivalent level Math and/or Computer Science would also be helpful.
Prefer someone interested in space exploration. Able to present organized results at weekly team Meetings using PowerPoint, participate proactively in analysis design and requirements vetting, desire to become domain expert.
