Job Requirements

  • Georgia LPN License in good standing
  • Preferred 2 years of experience with Pediatric Primary Care
  • Preferred 1 year experience with GRITS & VFC
  • Minimum 1 year LPN experience
  • Must have valid driver's license
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures and all Federal, State, and local medical service requirements, including HIPPA Privacy & Security.
  • Participate in Drug Free Workplace / E-Verify participant/ EOE

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Employee will comply with all Federal and State guidelines, including OSHA, HIPAA and Compliance. Nothing in this job description restricts management’s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Prepares patients for examinations (i.e. identifies the patient’s chief complaint, takes vital signs, height, weight, etc.)
  • Coordinates and Ensures that all WCCs have BMIs
  • Ensures all WCCs have appropriate counseling for exercise and dietary surveillance
  • Takes every opportunity to catch up patients on WCCs during sick visits
  • Makes every effort to ensure that ill patients are comfortable until seen by a Physician or Nurse Practitioner
  • Properly codes all vaccines into eCW and properly reconciles all vaccine inventoried in GRITS and Vaxacare
  • Initiates actions on all sick visits and ensures completion of actions from team members
  • Follows up on actions with 48 hours and that all EKG’s faxed for over read and then given the Business Manager
  • Follow up all labs assigned and that all lab specimens are labeled correctly. In the absence of a Phlebotomist, performs routine laboratory procedures
  • Assists physicians and nurse practitioners in health care activities, performance of diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures, and the administration of medications as deemed necessary
  • Assists with stocking the examining room and special treatment rooms with needed supplies on a daily basis
  • Performs other necessary duties as required by the Business Manager, Chief Clinician, or others to meet the goal of providing primary health services at ZOe Pediatrics
  • Participates in all required audits as assigned by the Nurse Manager or Chief Physician
  • Responsible for assessing the patient lobby to ensure patients are not waiting too long
  • Ensures that all assigned referrals are acted upon daily and all additional orders are executed as assigned
  • Participates in the Quality Improvement activities for ZÖe
  • Ensures safety of vaccines and reporting, ad in event of emergency is responsible for the safety and transporting of vaccines
  • Ensures all reconciliation of all immunizations and re-ordering of inventory.
