DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

The ideal candidate will provide manage the Logistics and expediting process for a $750MM Steelmaking Project

The Basics:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ direct experience in in a Project Logistics position, preferred in steel or similar heavy industry
  • Knowledge Expediting and Logistics as it relates to International shipments
  • Industrial communication systems, such as LAN systems, Profibus, Profinet, ProfiSafe, Wireless Networking
  • Intermediate experience with industrial instrumentation and Human Machine Interface Systems, such as WinCC, WinCC Flex
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, PowerPoint)

The Extras:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline or a mixture of experience and education
  • 5 years of automation experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Siemens PLCs is preferred
  • Knowledge of data acquisition such as ibaAnalyzer preferred
  • Familiar with Open Platform Communications (OPC) and OPC Unified Architecture (OPC-UA)
  • Working knowledge of Industrial Safety Systems preferred

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Lead the effort to ensure the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) supply an industrial Automation System that meets the business objectives of the project
  • Assists with coordinating third party engineering contracting services from the scope definition phase, to the close out document phase, ensuring the non-interference of new deployments in existing processes, through participation and analysis in its developing phase.
  • Provide regular updates to Project Management and internal stakeholders
  • Manages the Request for Information (RFI) process for all Automation systems
  • Ensures that all software, hardware and engineering related to the Industrial Automation systems are delivered within budget and schedule.
  • Observes safety, review accident/incident reports and assist in investigations as required

  • Office and Industrial setting
  • Gulf coast region in Calvert, AL
  • Days, Monday to Friday with extended hours as required due to periods of peak workloads
