Logistics Billing Clerk Position Overview:

Responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to senior management by invoicing and billing clients accordingly. Models and acts in accordance with our guiding principles and core values.

Logistics Billing Clerk Schedule & Pay:

  • 1st shift (9:00AM – 6:00PM)
  • Starting at $18/hr.
  • Contract to Hire Positions

Logistics Billing Clerk Job Duties:

· Manage information; organize and maintain paper and electronic files, ensuring files are updated and maintained on a weekly basis.

· Audit and verify customer invoices to ensure they have correct information and backup and have met all the customer’s billing requirements.

· Other duties as assigned by management.

· Verify accuracy of billing data, correcting any errors.

· Check the data input in the accounting system to ensure accuracy.

· Contact carrier to obtain, verify, and update account information.

· Create itemized bills and other necessary billing documents.

· Resolve billing dispute.

· Collect information needed to calculate bills. (Order amounts, discount rates etc.)

· Answer questions and handle questions from carriers regarding bills.

· Perform various special projects as needed.

· Other duties as assigned by management.

Logistics Billing Clerk Requirements:

  • PC literate. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications.
  • Minimum 1 year of customer service or clerical experience is required with Billing background in logistics
  • Knowledge of logistics industry or pick and pack experience is a plus
  • Must be detail-oriented and a problem solver
  • Excellent customer service skills and previous pick and pack experience.
  • Accurate typing skills and/or data entry skills. Basic math skills.
  • Capable of communicating and interacting effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgrounds and ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, employees, customers, and vendors. Excellent oral communications skills.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize in demanding environments with tight deadlines.
  • Ability to produce error-free invoicing documents.
  • Knowledgeable of company policies, practices, and operations.
  • Must be flexible, able to balance multiple tasks and changing priorities, and possess exceptional interpersonal skills. Ability to display a strong sense of urgency and good judgment.
  • Must be bilingual English and Spanish.
