SUMMARY:
Loan Operations services and supports all loan areas of the bank beginning with data entry of new loans and maintaining existing loans through payoff. Loan Operations strives to provide excellent internal and external customer support for existing business and consumer loans.

The Loan Operations Coordinator is responsible for assisting teams within loan operations to identify, plan and complete projects. Additionally the Loan Operations Coordinator must be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and other programs; and understands the importance of technology. Assists team Managers with planning, organizing, developing and controlling department activities to accomplish individual, team and company objectives. Ensures and assists the Loan Operations Team in the documentation, standardization and measurement of key business processes to promote a total quality management environment; allows for the continual improvement and efficiency of key departmental processes. Responsible for providing internal customer support to all lending and credit personnel concerning questions about the loan records on the loan accounting system. This position must work harmoniously with all departments within the organization.

LOCATIONS:
This position is 100% remote within the Bank’s footprint. Employee will work full time remote outside of a WesBanco location (may occasionally attend in person meetings, although primary functions of the role are performed remotely).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works closely with team Manager to identify, plan corrective action, and execute projects.

Leads projects and engages other department personnel in project based initiatives.

Serves as a liaison between team leaders, team managers and Loan Operations and third party vendors.

Completes, updates, and maintains workflows for the Loan Operations department.

Identifies opportunities for new workflow automation to aid in the efficiency of the Loan Operations Department.

Uses technology in a manner that assists the department in creating efficiencies and automations.

Learns all aspects of the loan operations department – loan onboarding, servicing, file completion, escrow disbursements, insurance tracking, loan payoffs and customer service to be a well rounded loan operations employee

Fills in as an associate or specialist and/or team leader or assistant team leader where teams may be short-staffed and provides assistance in the daily completion of work.

Works primarily with Microsoft Excel for creating, editing, sorting, and filtering loan data.

Assists team managers in preparing for audit requests and the completion of responses from corrective actions in audit findings.

Prepares periodic and/or special reports as required or requested.

Other duties may be assigned from time to time.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Banking is a highly regulated industry and you will be expected to acquire and maintain a proficiency in the bank’s policies and procedures, and adhere to all laws, rules and regulations that are applicable to your conduct and the work you will be performing. You will also be expected to complete all assigned compliance training in a timely manner.

Proficient with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel necessary.

Ability to understand and utilize banking industry technology.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as interest, percentages, and averages.

Ability to travel throughout WesBanco markets as needed.

Bachelor’s degree in related field and 2 years of relevant experience in banking or at least 5 years of relevant experience in banking or project management.

Strong knowledge of loan documentation, loan servicing, loan origination, bank operations, technology and customer service a plus.

Minimum 2 years of previous experience in technology or project management preferred.
