Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Process all loan types within the Loan Officer Guidelines
• Gather background information on members applying for loans by interviewing applicants and recording all applicants’ information
• Pull/review/notate/understand credit bureau reports
• Properly determine collateral value
• Verify the accuracy of loan amounts and repayment terms on approved loan applications. Complete loan documents and disburse loans when approved
• Must follow up on Loan processing to ensure all documentation is proper and loan is set up correctly
• Knowledge of Open/Closed end loans
• Assist member/applicant by phone, fax, email, mail and in person asking pertinent loan questions to determine financial needs – advise or cross sell as appropriate; assists members with the loan application process to ensure completeness of information; pull credit reports for all accounts, verify debt, and estimate monthly payments for any outstanding debts not listed and add them to debts on application
• Approve/Deny all loans within Loan Officer Guidelines; if not within guidelines pass loan to AVP or VP for approval
• Remain current on loan policies and credit granting/denial criteria
• Ensures that rejection letters are dispatched within required time frame
• Collect proof of insurance on collateral as needed before the loan is booked
• Loan turn around should be handled as quickly as possible but always within 24 hours
• Notify dealerships of any missing paperwork
• Respond to used vehicle inquiries regarding value, transfers, lien releases, etc.,
• Notify appropriate agency to place security interest of credit union on title documents
• Complete weekly paid off loan report, and release titles to appropriate party
• Process DMV paperwork
• Ensure accurate data entry to the title tracking system
• Contact dealers and other financial institutions for title in suspense
• Monitor and add insurance as necessary
• Process GAP claims
• Perform ther assignments

Reporting directly to the AVP of Lending and/or VP Lending we are excited to fill this position as quickly as possible.

Compensation will be based on career experience; and the pay is non-FLSA.
