Litigation Associate - 5-7 years - Houston Job at McGlinchey Stafford
McGlinchey Stafford seeks to hire an associate attorney with 5-7 years of experience to join our litigation practice in Houston.
This role will involve hands-on, meaningful work through all stages of the litigation process in cases involving construction disputes, commercial-trucking defense, products liability, business disputes, and the defense of serious personal injury and death claims.
We seek candidates with:
- Strong academic credentials;
- An active license to practice law in Texas;
- 5-7 years of experience in civil litigation (including experience in drafting pleadings, written discovery, motion practice, taking and defending depositions, and other facets of the litigation process);
- The ability and willingness to handle depositions, attend hearings, and help try cases;
- Excellent legal-research, writing, and oral-advocacy skills; and
- The ability to multitask, manage multiple deadlines, and take ownership of projects, assignments, and cases.
Prior experience in the practice areas listed above is a plus, but is not required.
