Job Summary: Assist in the set-up of work cells (packaging, paperwork, staged components, break coverage, etc.). Work with QA on quality related issues to ensure compliance.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Must be able to successfully run each press or assembly station on the production floor.
- Run door position approximately 80% of time or as directed (molding only)
- Own and maintain press scrap. Verify that defective parts in (red) defect bins are reported hourly on appropriate metrics (tally sheets, pulse boards) and identified by defect.
- Support leads with work order changes, pull work instructions/kit books, and replace with correct instructions for new job.
- Assist with daily shift reports in IQ. Assures production tally sheets are accurate with back counts.
- Negative inventory resolution.
- Train and update Employees and Temporary Employees on work instructions as required.
Essential Qualifications:
- The ability to follow oral and written instructions and to understand, speak and read English.
- Minimum one year of experience in production environment, preferably in plastics.
- Good communication, computer and counting skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Must be a team player
ADA Requirements:
- Stand, walk, bend, squat, twist, reach or otherwise move frequently
- Occasional repetitive motion and grasping
- Occasional climbing to reach areas on machines or racks
- Lift, move or otherwise transfer up to 50 lbs. occasionally, >20 lbs. frequently
- Typically sits, grasps items or performs keyboarding for occasional operation of a computer
- Exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards which may require respiratory protection
