Line Cook Job at The Dixboro Project
We are looking for full or part-time line cooks and prep cooks to join our teams at The Dixboro Project. We are looking for teammates who are passionate, hard working, and are ready to demand excellence of themselves and their team. Previous experience with high volume or fine dining restaurants preferred but not mandatory. Must have a good attitude and work ethic.
Responsibilities:
- Possess knowledge of all food items, including ingredients, preparation methods, execution, and presentation.
- Know of the food menu including dietary, allergen, and nutritional facts.
- Set-up and stock stations with attention to detail for each shift, confirming food quality and consistency guidelines are being met and the highest standards of sanitation are adhered to.
- Be proactive as possible to ensure the product has been prepared properly by tasting, smelling and looking at each product; fix it when it's not up to standard.
- Assess when menu items have been prepared incorrectly and fix issues with immediacy.
- Monitor waste and assist in communicating issues to the Chef Team to minimize waste levels at the restaurant.
- Uphold safety, sanitation and cleanliness standards as outlined by the Health Department and company policy.
- Properly label, storage (FIFO), and temp product and prepared foods.
- Maintain physically upkeep of the kitchen and equipment in collaboration with the entire team.
- Contribute to an inspiring and supportive environment that encourages continuous education and improvement.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Follow the guidance of your Chef Team to ensure the flow of food from ordering to storage, preparation, and execution is optimized for the best guest experience.
- Model professionalism and integrity. Hold yourself and your teammates accountable to a high standard of excellence.
