Line Cook Job at California Grand Casino
We're ready to expand our food service later into the evening now that the county has lifted their restrictions. So we need some more cooks so we can stay open later.
The California Grand Casino, an East Bay Card-room with a full service restaurant, seeks professional, responsible individuals who are interested in joining our team. Individuals must be easy to get along with and absolutely drama free. The right fit will be able to get along with all types of people.
Except for COVID, we have never had to cut anyone's hours or days back. We stay busy all year around!
We have been in business for over 150 years - we aren't going anywhere.
Cook Applicant must:
Learn quickly and be able to hustle and multi-task while maintaining a calm professional demeanor
Have at least 2 years line experience at a full service restaurant
Be willing and able to cook as well as prep and clean your own line
Chinese cooking experience is a plus but not a necessity
Be able to lift up to 45 pounds
Current schedule we are hiring for is
Full time starting between 3:00pm - 11:30pm
(with daily 1/2 hour off-duty meal break)
Salary will depend on experience.
Medical benefits (must meet hours requirements to be eligible and enrollment is on the first of the month, after 60 days of employment) and 401(k) available.
If hired, candidate must apply for and obtain a work permit with the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Department in order to begin working. We will pay for it. They will check your criminal background.
Felonies, dishonesty, or stealing will result in automatic denial.
All employees must be at least 21 years of age.
