POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides skilled nursing care under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse.
• Performs selected skilled actions in the provision of curative, rehabilitative, palliative or preventative nursing care.
• Is responsible and accountable for making decisions that are based on the individual's nursing experience and educational preparation.

• Skills: IVs, Wound care, Wound vac, Foley Catheters, Trach Care, Diabetic Care, Colostomy
• Availability: Monday through Friday Day Shift; One Weekend a Month On Call Rotation
• Location: Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda, Murdock, Cleveland, Placida, North Port, Lake Suzy, FL

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing.
• Must be licensed in the State of Florida as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Licensed driver with automobile that is in good working order and insured in accordance with the organization requirements.
• One or more years in an acute/sub-acute care facility. Home health experience preferred.
• IV Certification preferred, but not required.
• One weekend a month on call a must.
• The ability to communicate well both written and verbally.
• The ability to access clients’ homes which may not be routinely wheelchair accessible is required.
