Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) Job at Gulf Coast Health Center, Inc.
Our growing healthcare center is looking for a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) for their Port Arthur office. The LCDC’s primary responsibility is to assist people who have struggled with addictions to drugs and alcohol.
Responsibilities:
- Treating the dependency issues of patients and discovering why patients have became addicted.
- Suggesting new ways of dealing with difficulties in the patients’ lives without relying on drugs or alcohol.
- Working with the families of patients to help them understand how they affect the rehabilitative process.
- Offer guidance to families as they cope with the difficulties associated with having an addicted loved one.
Qualifications:
- National Association of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors certification preferred.
