Job Title: LGBTQ+ Youth Coordinator

Hours: Part Time (10-14hrs/wk), $19.50/Hour - $23.00/Hour

Organization: The Alliance for Suicide Prevention of Larimer County (ASP) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit agency focused on suicide prevention as well as providing grief support programs for those who have been impacted by suicide.

Suicide prevention efforts are focused on the creation and delivery of youth and adult educational programs to enable early identification and intervention with family members and friends who may be exhibiting suicidal risk factors and/or behaviors.

Job Overview: Coordinate and manage targeted outreach to LGBTQ+ youth (ages 10-24) throughout Larimer County. Assist with program content and other youth focused programming and events such as the Teen Self-Care Fair. Facilitate and support LGBTQ+ Workgroup and any projects related to such. Represent ASP to schools and organizations in need of support related to LGBTQ+. Be a productive member of the ASP teams and contribute to positive workplace culture.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Deliver LGBTQ+ specific trainings (ABC’s, Trusted Adult) to schools and community agencies
  • Work with relative partner agencies (SPLASH, CSU’s Pride Resource Center, etc)
  • Provide support and communication to schools within Larimer County about GSA’s
  • Represent ASP at community events in a professional manner
  • Provide support in planning and executing ASP youth events
  • Serve on relevant ASP or partner committees
  • Be trained and able to provide crisis intervention
  • Collect data on outreach and outcomes for grants
  • Research and be knowledgeable about suicide risk factors, especially for LGBTQ+ Youth
  • Participate in youth-focused and LGBTQ+ focused suicide prevention trainings
  • Deliver QPR (adult suicide prevention training) as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Participate in weekly team meetings and individual supervisions with Program Directors

Qualifications:

Experience working with youth. Experience working with the target population. Lived experience as a LGBTQ+ youth valued and preferred. Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Reports to: CNC Program Director for weekly supervisions and Executive Director for monthly group supervisions.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.50 - $23.00 per hour
