Are you a well organized person that would like to work for a small law firm near you?! We are currently looking for a Legal Assistant!
A Legal Assistant is responsible for helping Lawyers and other legal professionals prepare for trials or court cases. Their duties include answering phone calls and greeting clients, contributing to fact-checking and compiling case evidence and communicating with court employees to confirm court dates.
Your job duties also include (and more) :
- Preparing court statements and forms
- Dictating Lawyers’ audio files and written notes
- Managing records, projects and calendars to make sure everything functions smoothly
- Transcribing and proofreading legal documents
- Indexing and updating pleadings and discovery binders
- Collecting and delivering documents
- Managing diaries and making travel arrangements for one or more Lawyers
- Supporting legal research and communicating with vendors, experts, Lawyers, opposing counsel and other staff

Experience:
- Microsoft Office: 1 year (Preferred)
