We are seeking a Leasing Contract Specialist to support our federal customers. This position is remote. The Leasing Contract Specialist will play a critical role in assisting with the negotiation and acquisition of leases/contracts for real property and specialized spaces, and adding to our clients overall lease portfolio.

As a Leasing Contract Specialist, you will also be responsible for ensuring that all executed leases meet program requirements and are in compliance with all applicable lease requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepares required documentation, to include cost estimates and proposal review.
  • Works closely with customers personnel, agencies, and contractors.
  • May also perform pre-award contracting activities for tenant alterations and improvement.
  • Leasing Specialists Interact with customer agencies and GSA.
  • Professional communication skills resolve questions about delegation requests, space requirements and ensure they meet all current operational guidelines USDA implements.
  • Completes acquisition plans, submits delegation requests for the extension of leases or requests access to delegations and price negotiation memorandums.
  • Performs lease contracting functions, to include the following:
    • Works with customer agencies to obtain space requirement information.
    • Prepares necessary documentation for lease extension using provided lease file checklist to track completed work.
    • Obtains delegation for the extension.
    • Prepares necessary documentation for the lease extension.
    • Analyzes market rates.
    • Negotiates with lessors.
    • Works to facilitate the extension.
  • Submits and reviews delegation request, monitors project status for delegation approvals and post award document submission.
  • Prepares and updates weekly project status reports for delegation requests, approvals and completed extensions delegated leases.
  • Analyzes and cross-checks executed lease extension reporting in agencys Real Property System (CPAIS) to post award submission and report out bi-weekly to COR and PM.
  • Documents work with weekly reporting in detail and summary methods.
  • Reports on each projects status, progress made and challenges, track schedules, costs and milestones.
  • Initiates studies or surveys of tenant agencies or other data-gathering efforts.
  • Provides contract administration and lease management services.
  • Monitors leased spaced requirements and procedures for compliance.

Your Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution preferred.
  • Must have minimum of two (2) years federal real property lease contracting experience.
  • Superior customer service, interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of realty instruments and real estate terminology.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office, Teams, Excel.
