Performance Profile

The Mission for this Role:

As one of our Leasing Agents you will deliver the best customer service on the South Side of Chicago while marketing, showing and leasing the highest quality units in the Southside of Chicago.

You will work with the Director of Leasing directly during our WPD Leasing Agent Training program, which will share in depth knowledge of our systems and our client’s needs. Some responsibilities will be marketing our units to a wide variety of clientele, managing lead tracking information, sharing information and progress with leasing management team about field activities, and ensuring our Leasing process followed to WPD standards.

What You Will Accomplish:

1) Within your first 3 months, you will be able to fully navigate all WPD Systems (Appfolio, Workdocs and Google Sheets) to perform daily leasing activities.

a) Demonstrate a solid understanding of Appfolio’s core concepts in relation to leasing flow and basic training by reviewing training guide and referencing WPD Leasing Handbook when needed.

b) Reach and Maintain a Weekly Leasing Average of Two leases per week and mitigate cancellations by following training action steps.

c) Obtain a Residential Leasing License for the state of Illinois within 120 days.

2) Within your first 6 months, you will be able to demonstrate a deep understanding of the leasing needs for the Southside of Chicago’s clientele and able to fully navigate the Leasing lifecycle of a client through providing the highest service possible and referencing WPD training material infrequently.

a) Deliver a consistent Weekly Leasing Average of Three leases per week.

b) A successful culmination of training will require you to reach 60% closing ratio as well as reach and maintain a WLA of 2.

c) Establish personal KPI goals that work on helping the department reach quarterly OKR goals.

Who We’re Looking For: The Personal Skills

Technical: We need to know that we can have you quickly and effectively learn new software systems that are critical to success here at WPD. You’ve had some exposure to Excel and are able to track multiple spreadsheets, reports and can readily adapt these to positional needs. This likely means you’ve had 2+ years of experience with either Microsoft or Google products.

Relationship Building: We want someone with the ability to quickly establish report with their clientele and gain the trust and respect of those potential clients they interact with on a daily bases. This includes non-profit subsidy caseworkers, and providing them with the highest level of service we’ve come to expect at WPD. This directly ties into our mantra: Above All Else, Care.

Growth Mind-Set: You thrive in a role that involves outside the box solutions and thinking on your feet. You are flexible in reaching your goals and work on improving personal systems.

You excel at personal time management, and keeping on track with systems and procedures in order to accomplish personal/departmental goals.

Role Details:

Hours: This is a full time hourly position with a flexible work schedule. General Hours are 9-5.

Pay: $30,000-35,000/annually plus commission and bonuses.
