Job Description
- Provides, processes, monitors, and maintains learning resources collections of the Institution, including all print and non-print resources.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in art, art history, or related fields strongly preferred
- Self-starter; self-motivated; can work independently or in a team as needed
- Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills
- Ability to complete physical tasks/labor
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams), Social Media (Facebook, YouTube, Instagram), and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, PremierPro)
Supplemental Job Information
- Coordinates and assists in activities related to the care and management of college collections. Includes maintenance of records, inventorying, cataloging, location tracking, storage upkeep, processing loans, and updating digital archives.
- Assists with the creation of educational texts and materials for students, faculty and visitors. Conducts periodic tours for visiting classes or groups.
- Conducts research/writing and maintains documentation (electronic or paper) of same.
- Facilitates professional correspondence between various departments within the college as well as between the college and outside professionals.
- Oversees safe handling and support for installation and de-installation of artworks college-wide; physical tasks may include loading/unloading objects, condition reporting, and assisting with exhibition preparation, among others.
- Provides direction and assistance in a variety of aspects to the assigned program. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: general operational support, curation, event planning, marketing, webpage management, student/intern training, and maintenance of physical spaces.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
