Job Summary:

The Learning & Development Coordinator assumes the lead responsibility for collaboration with managers, stakeholders, and subject matter experts (SME) to analyze company-wide business needs, and to implement streamlined and effective employee career development strategies. The L & D coordinator aligns with Leadership and stakeholders to evaluate the overall impact of specific job-related employee career development training strategies, to ensure ongoing support of the company’s annual organizational goals and objectives.

Essentials L & D Coordinator key Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Oversee company-wide administration and coordination of employee career learning and development training, and the maintenance of training systems.
  • Research and recommend the use of vendor-based materials for employee organizational development and performance improvement to Leadership and stakeholders, that drives continuous enhancements or that supplements existing career development programs.
  • Develop and identify up-to-date industry training curriculum content design and methodology deliveries (instruction led classroom methods, performance-based e-learning, video, and blended-training solutions) to identify company-wide skills or knowledge gaps.
  • Evaluate course effectiveness, follow up with participants, and leaders and modifying course content and course vendor, as required.
  • Network with regional decision-makers for training needs, opportunities, and resources.
  • Host train-the-trainer sessions for internal subject matter experts.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through consistent internal/external customer service assessment audits (surveys and employee performance metrics).
  • Collect and report to Leadership on training metrics (training cost, hours of training and budget).
  • Maintain training systems including training records and training calendar.
  • Manage and maintain in-house training facilities and equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science required at a minimum, Master’s Degree preferred, in Human Resources, Organizational Studies, Business Administration, or similar with at least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the service industry
  • Must have exceptional communication skills to interact fluidly across all management stakeholder levels to continuously drive consistent and profitable business relations
  • Knowledge of instructional design principles and adult education concepts with an ability to identify appropriate delivery methods, and develop technical and conceptual content for a variety of training projects.
  • Ability to manage large design and development projects from conception, through design and development, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Teams or other virtual training applications, Biz Library, e-Learning, etc.)
  • Some travel is required.
