We invite highly skilled, dedicated professionals to join our team of therapists, educators, nurses, counselors and administrative support. We have a current opportunity for a Lead Teacher in our ECEAP Program.
POSITION SUMMARY
Lead Teacher
Program: ECEAP Location: Everett Schedule: 1.0 FTE Salary Range: $19 - $24.00/hr
The Lead Teacher will function as a member of the ECEAP team, and is responsible for the care and education of children aged 3-4. This role includes coaching assistant teachers and meaningfully involving parent volunteers in the classroom. The Lead Teacher plans and implements the curriculum to reflect early childhood development needs, as well as the rich and diverse heritages of students and their families. The Lead teacher observes, assesses, and documents children’s development, designs the learning environment, and plans guidance strategies for children. The Lead Teacher facilitates conferences with parents quarterly.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • An Associate or higher degree, with the equivalent of 30 college quarter credits in Early Childhood Education either included in the degree, or in addition to the degree

OR:
  • A valid Washington State Teaching Certificate with an endorsement in Early Childhood Education (Pre-K-Grade 3) or Early Childhood Special Education.
  • Skilled in communicating in spoken and written English, with the ability to read and process online data in English.
  • Preference is given to native speakers of Spanish, or other languages spoken in Snohomish County.
  • Computer skills, including use of the Microsoft Suite.
  • Willing to learn and grow as part of a team, building respectful and reciprocal relationships with team members.
  • Engage in reflective supervision to challenge one’s own habits and beliefs and develop professionally as a provider of early childhood services.
  • Must be able to pass a State background check, and be approved to work around children.
  • In addition to having good teaching and relationship-building skills, the best candidates will demonstrate motivation, compassion, reliability, adaptability, and unconditional acceptance of all children and families.

ECEAP (Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program) is a high quality preschool and family development program for underserved families in partnership with Snohomish County and the State of Washington.
