Job Description Summary

Work in the Americas Solution Consultant team, alongside a varied team of software analysts, solution architects, sales engineers and product managers. The role will be involved in all aspects of building demonstrations systems, working on presentation collateral, defining business scenarios and presenting solutions.

Job Description

Primary Activities

  • Building story boards of software presentation and developing user stories to present to a variety of technical and non-technical audiences, based upon the GE Asset Management suite and Analytics suite for Utilities and Telecoms solutions, focused on Smallworld suite of products. Including Electric Office, Mobile Enterprise, Network Update, Smallworld Web, GeoSpatial Analysis, Vegetation Management, Asset Inspection, Asset Inventory, Storm Readiness suite of products.
  • Preparing software and configuring databases to dynamically present the user stories
  • supporting sales presentations to prospective customers, partner organizations and internal webinars.

Basic Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) or 5 years industry experience
  • Must be willing to travel. 35-50%

Desired Characteristics:

  • High level of English proficiency (second language a plus)
  • Well-developed communication skills with an ability to present complex solution in clear and simple terms
  • Strong customer focus, ability to understand the value proposition for the customer and commitment to deliver the best value proposition.
  • Knowledge of Smallworld Electric Office or similar capability from a major competitor (e.g. ESRI or Intergraph) competitive product set highly preferred.
  • Ability to understand how businesses solve problems with mobile and web solutions.
  • Willingness for some business travel during initially with Senior Solution Consultants in the team.
