Goodwill Industries of NW Ohio has immediate openings to fill full-time lawn crew driver positions to service multiple commercial accounts. Performance of duties will take place in outdoor environments in Lucas County and surrounding areas. Driver position is responsible for driving other employees and equipment to multiple commercial service accounts. The driver is responsible to provide lawn care services at the various accounts. Must have personal reliable transportation to arrive at the Goodwill warehouse at the beginning of shift. Good work ethic necessary. Must be self-motivated, work well on teams and show capacity to perform other duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Education/Training:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Able to read, understand, and follow written instructions, and comprehend verbal instructions given in English.

Pre-employment Requirements:

• Must be able to drive a motor vehicle with trailer.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Motor Vehicle Driving record must meet company standards to drive company vehicles.

• Able to pass criminal background check.
• Able to safely operate a zero-turn mower and lawn related equipment.
• Able to driving and maneuver a truck/utility trailer combo (combined length approximately 18’ long).
• Able to operate a trimmer, and leaf blower.

Physical Effort Required:

Able to use a range of power lawn equipment, including zero-turn mowers, push mowers, trimmers, and leaf blowers.

• Ability to lift or move heavy objects up to 50lbs and the ability to perform manual labor.
• Able to push, pull and operate various lawn equipment.
• Able to stand, stoop, kneel and reach.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions (heat, rain, even possible light snow).

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure that the vehicle is always fueled and all equipment is ready for use.
• Responsible for transporting lawn crew employees and equipment to customer locations using the company truck and trailer.
• Responsible for mowing, trimming and maintaining multiple lawn care accounts to include but not limited to mulching, weeding flower beds and site clean-up.

• Assists in maintaining a safe environment for all crew members, customers and surrounding areas through visual inspection of exterior areas during shift.

Job Type: Full-time (Seasonal, may apply for other job openings available after season is complete).

Schedule: 8-hour shift Monday to Friday (occasional weekend’s).

Shift Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (some overtime possible).

Direct Deposit or Cash Card Pay options. Bi-weekly paycheck.

Pay: $12.00 per hour

Dress Code – Jeans and Goodwill logo t-shirts (two provided upon hire).
