Laundry Attendant

SUMMARY: The Laundry Attendant is responsible for overseeing all aspects of day-to-day laundry operations. The employee must follow all laundry procedures, safety guidelines, rules of cleanliness and Club policies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES and other duties as may be assigned related to this position.

Sorts soiled linen and loads into washer.

Removes clean linen from washing machines and puts into dryers.

Folds clean linen correctly and puts it in its proper place for storage.

Organization of uniforms. May provide uniform distribution to staff of other departments.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or GED preferred. Must possess the technical skills used in a commercial laundry.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, and reach with hands and arms. This job requires the employee to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

The employee must be able to hear, smell, feel, speak and see. Special vision requirements include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
