Land Technician

FLSA Status: Salary, Full Time, Non-Exempt

Reports To: District Exploration Manager

Salary: Based upon level of experience

Mewbourne Oil Company, a family owned and operated independent oil and gas exploration and production company, is seeking to hire a Land Technician for our Exploration group located in our Oklahoma City office. The qualified candidate would work closely with members of our geology, engineering, and land team to support existing operations as well as new business dealings.

Job functions:

• Enertia Land PC Software experience preferred
• Understanding of various land documents (Leases, assignments, title opinions, ownership reports, etc)
• Ability to record leases via mail and Simplifile system in Oklahoma
• Draft and mail well proposals, track elections, prepare regulatory respondent lists, check address’s, etc.
• Basic understanding of oil and gas lease provisions with the ability to review and summarize
• Provide project support with Land professionals
• Some Oklahoma Land Technician experience is preferred but not required

Skills & Qualifications would include:

• Ability to work and communicate with multiple members of the Exploration group
• Strong ability to complete tasks in a timely manner
• Self-motivated, positive attitude, strong work ethic
• Proficiency and experience in using PC related software (Geographix, Excel, IHS, Enverus, etc.)
• Ability to problem solve
