Lanai [St. Thomas] is located on the south shore of St. Thomas in beautiful Frenchman’s Bay. Originally opened in 2016 along the shore of Limetree Beach within Limetree Beach Resort, Lanai offers a one of kind location and quintessential Caribbean beachfront dining experience. Lanai offers innovative and refined seafood-forward island fare, and a lively bar program featuring Caribbean-inspired cocktails.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The ideal candidate is a practiced problem solver, maintains a calm demeanor under pressure, persists to get the job done, and enjoys working alongside a large team to improve performance and increase retention. Lanai’s Prep Cook is an individual who assists the BOH staff in preparing food, maintains a safe and clean food environment, and takes on other culinary tasks as delegated. The ideal Prep Cook is focused, driven, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a kitchen environment. We are looking for someone who can manage the morning prep load and receive orders. Our BOH roles support the team and help to create and maintain an exciting, inviting environment. This person should be a high-energy and positive individual who should be self-motivated, eager to learn, and adaptable. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Working with local ingredients for the preparation of menu items.
• Properly receives orders from vendors throughout the day.
• Manages morning prep load and prep duties.
• Assisting the BOH team with all preparation and organization in the kitchen.
• Maintaining cleanliness of any BOH work areas, including and not limited to refrigeration, cooking equipment, and prep areas.
• Participate in deep cleaning of BOH work areas, including and not limited to refrigeration, cooking equipment, and prep areas.
• Honing existing skills while learning new techniques.

• Able to take constructive criticism, learn quickly and constantly improve.
