Job Title: Lake and Pond Field Service Manager

Reports to: Vice President of Operations

Department: Service / Office / Warehouse

Job Summary:

Lake Restoration, Inc. is looking for a full-time employee to fill a Field Service Crew Manager position. In this role, you will be working to provide weed and algae control services to Lakes and Ponds around the Twin Cities Metro area from April to October. In the off-season, you will be working in sales, support, production, and/or fulfillment roles in our office or warehouse.

Hourly Pay Rate: Up to $25/hr

Spring/Summer Field Service Crew Manager Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage a crew to conduct herbicide and algaecide treatments on lakes and ponds throughout Minnesota and Western Wisconsin.
  • Conduct treatments on invasive species such as Curlyleaf Pondweed, Eurasian Watermilfoil, Starry Stonewort, and other species that come into our service area.
  • Overtime may be mandatory during this time of the year. Up to 55-60 hours possible May through July.

Off-Season Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Off-season field service support:

o Equipment maintenance

o Sales activities

o Administrative work; reporting, mapping, documentation, customer support

  • Production of Lake Restoration Products

o Assemble and package mechanical products such as De-Icers and fountains

o Bottle and package liquid and granular products in to sales units

  • Operate and demonstrate use of specialized warehouse equipment and requesting repairs when they are necessary
  • Assist in daily warehouse and shipping areas including:

o Filling and shipping customer orders

o Ensuring accuracy of shipments and supporting documentation

o Receiving incoming material and routing to appropriate area or personnel

o Ensuring inventory transactions are accurately logged

  • Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, floors, and work stations neat and clean
  • Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Equipment operation; truck/trailer driving, boat driving, pumps, etc.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements including:

o A variety of standing and walking throughout the day

o Repeated twisting at the torso while lifting and pulling inventory from shelves

o Regular lifting of 20-30 pounds and occasional lifting of 50 pounds

o Exposure to changes in temperature and humidity

o Working outside in the heat while wearing proper personal protective equipment

  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to multi task and work within deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Education:

o Minimum: High school diploma

  • Experience:

o Preferred:

 Boat and trailer experience

 Fork-Lift Certified with operating experience

o One year warehouse or related experience
