Laborer, Maintenance Job at Ascend Career Services
Ascend Career Services is partnering with Franklin County Housing Authority to hire a Maintenance Laborer for their Chambersburg and Waynesboro, PA locations. This position is 1st shift, Monday - Friday. The Housing Authority was organized in 1951 after the Board of County Commissioners realized there was a significant need for safe and sanitary dwellings for low-income families. Today, the Franklin County Housing Authority consists of four community locations between Chambersburg and Waynesboro. The Authority offers affordable housing to accommodate senior, disabled, individual, and family households.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled workers on work projects
- Assist with general repair and maintenance work on structures such as repairing doors, windows, furniture, and replacing fixtures
- Assist with repairs on heating systems, electrical systems, and plumbing systems
- Assist with groundskeeping duties
- Assist with cleaning vacated tenant units
Key Qualifications
- Must have High School Diploma or GED certificate
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Possess valid driver's license and be willing to travel between Chambersburg and Waynesboro locations
- Willing to submit to all background criminal and child abuse clearances and drug screening
- 1 year of facilities maintenance experience preferred
