Position Summary

The Concrete Production Laborer makes quality composite products in a safe and timely manner by operating different sizes of vibrating tables, forms, and various other pieces of equipment based on a pre-determined schedule.

M-TH 7:00pm - 5:30am

Principle Accountabilities

• Maintains a safe and clean work environment, returns all tools after use to proper storage location, and performs routine housekeeping (i.e.: cleaning, organizing). Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Identifies unsafe working conditions and notifies supervisor.
• Advises supervisor of any issues after daily inspections of the forms and equipment are completed.
• Performs a variety of production duties including but not limited to: operating a crane to maneuver product, materials, and forms from vibrator table to pallets; cleaning hoppers and belts and oiling forms; operating a vibrator table to produce products.
• Reads production drawings and recognizes whether the product is set up properly; sets up the form as indicated in the production drawing with correct bill of materials; makes indicated modifications to the set-up as necessary.
• Fills hopper to required level; pours concrete into a form, placing reinforcing steel as needed; adds lifting hardware; finishes concrete based on quality control standards and/or specifications/drawings; strips product off of form once completed; stacks correctly and properly applies curing treatments.

Position Requirements

• Preferred Experience: Less than 6 months.
• Ability to read and interpret production drawings.
• Proficient in utilizing tape measures and basic hand tools including, but not limited to trowels, hammers, wrenches, chisels, power tools, etc.
