The purpose of this position is to provide direct support to SDM’s, Sales, and Perfumers by incorporating fragrances/raw materials into a base. This position reports to the Application Lab Supervisor. The candidate will be expected to adapt to changing tasks and instructions based on business demands throughout the day in order to satisfy internal and external customers.

• The candidate will make samples using a computer task management system, take pH readings, Flashpoint, Viscosity, and Titration readings when needed. Properly maintain lab, help others when assigned by the lab manager.
• Making samples using a computer task management system
• Performing Flashpoint, pH, Viscosity, and Titration testing.
• Checking stock of bases and oils
• Providing help when it is needed in other labs.
• Properly maintaining their bays
• Maintaining corporate fragrance oils via collection and re-stocking of incoming requests

Job Requirements

Required Skills:

• Industry knowledge: Technical knowledge of base formulation. Equipment knowledge of pH meters, flashpoint machine, viscometers, and titrators.
• Computer skills: Must be proficient in basic computer knowledge and comfortable using automated systems and computer task management tools.
• Must be able to start and complete a task in a dynamic environment:
• Adapt to changes and priorities due to customer request. Ability to give and receive verbal and written communications.
• Must be safe and conscientious lab operator for the protection of all employees.

Required Experience:

• 1 to 3 years industry experience in fragrance or flavor creative laboratory with a strong understanding of making application samples.
• Experience working with pH meters, flashpoint machine, viscometers, and titrators.
• Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) is a plus.
• 2 or 4 year college degree preferred.
