• Support the R&D quality team with a focus on continual improvement, the effectiveness of quality audits, and the utility of audit information collected.
• Primary Audit responsibilities to include the following:
  • Working in a warehouse environment.
  • Daily activity will include identifying product locations in the warehouse, picking products from locations, transporting products to the audit room for evaluation, evaluating of products, repacking products after evaluation, and return of the product to inventory.
  • Forklift operation.
  • Evaluation of product quality will include the following:
    • Unpacking of product for display and evaluation.
    • Performing quality inspection.
    • Recording audit results.
  • Data entry of audit results into a Microsoft Access database or SAP-based system.
• Secondary (Backup/Support) Audit responsibilities include the following:
  • Performing searches and generating inventory reports from the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Receiving customer service audit requests by email and phone and reporting audit results.
  • Implementing process improvements and providing feedback to identify areas needing changes.
• Performs other related duties as required.

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.

• None required.
• Experience in the following areas is preferred:
  • Product quality inspection.
  • Knowledge of Dal-Tile products.
  • Familiarity with ceramic tile.
  • Knowledge of ceramic product testing equipment and methods.
  • Customer service.

• Strong organization and communication skills.
• Detail oriented and able to handle new challenges.
• Willing to work as part of a team in a mixed office, warehouse, or test lab environment.
• Computer skills including office applications and Microsoft Access and SAP data entry.
• Ability to multi-task and make sound decisions.
• Visual acuity is needed for the detection of defects and judgment of product shade.
• Physically able to lift and move up to 70 lbs.
