KU After School Attendant Job at New Canaan Community YMCA, Inc.
Kids Unlimited (KU), the After-school program at the New Canaan YMCA, is looking for energetic and engaging candidates to join our team!
With direction from the Director of Childcare, KU After School Attendants will supervise, interact, and assist the children attending the program with activities such as:
- Homework Help
- Arts & Crafts
- Science experiments
- Non-competitive games
- Sports (including use of the YMCA facilities)
- Encouraging positive peer interactions
KU follows the New Canaan Public School calendar, so Attendant hours will typically be Monday through Friday, 2:45 – 6:00 pm.
KU offers longer program days for early dismissals and full-day Vacation Camp programs during school breaks - an opportunity for Attendants to work extra hours.
Successful candidates will possess:
- Ability to to children grades K – 6
- Experience with babysitting/camp counseling
- A “Safety First” mindset
- Excellent communication skills and an abundance of patience
- Punctual and Reliable
- Responsive and flexible to the needs of the program
